I always enjoy opportunities to create educational software. Combining meaningful curriculum with entertainment is a rewarding challenge.
In 2015, I built the website for PBS Kids Super Why including several games.
In 2003, I was a technical lead and game designer on the team that created the Leapster, an educational game system from LeapFrog. There, and later at a studio called Orange Design, I helped to create countless titles for the system. The performance of the system was quite limited by today’s standards, but we worked within these limitations to make the games fun, and to include meaningful curricula that responded dynamically to the performance of the child. My primary role was as a developer, but I was also involved in art and game design.
